Federico Patiño

Director General, Airport Group of Mexico City

Mr. Federico Patiño is currently the CEO for the Project of the Mexico City  New International Airport. Former CFO of the Grupo Aeroportuario de la Ciudad de Mexico being responsible for the financing of the 13 billion dollar Project. With more than 30 years of experience on the financial sector specializing in SME financing and Investment Banking, Mr. Patiño has worked for several Mexican development banks such as Nacional Financiera, Bancomext, Fonadin and Banobras. At those organizations, Mr. Patiño was Head of the Credit, Treasury and Investment Banking departments and was the CEO of the National Infrastructure Fund (responsible to promote PPP projects in Mexico). Among other responsibilities, Mr. Patiño coordinated the privatization and public placement of the Mexican Airport Groups, was responsible for the Financing of the Mexico City Airport Expansion (T2) in 2007, structured and financed several PPP projects as well as coordinated several rounds of privatizations of government toll roads known as FARAC.
