Tim Macindoe

Associate Minister of Transport, New Zealand

Tim Macindoe is the Associate Minister of Transport of New Zealand. He is responsible for leading the policy development and making of all Land Transport Rules and consequential Regulations, overseeing all transport safety matters (aviation, maritime, rail and road) and supervising the Ministry of Transport's annual research and statistics programme and its associated publications. Prior to his election, Tim was the Chief Executive of Arts Waikato where he was principally responsible for the trust’s business and staff management, fundraising and reporting. He also served as Deputy Principal of St. Peter’s School, Cambridge. He has also worked in public service, marketing, retail, agriculture and as a prison tutor, with breaks for overseas travel and to campaign full-time for the National Party. Tim completed his first degree, a BA (Hons) majoring in History, at Otago University and his second degree, an LL.B, at the University of Waikato.
