Yusuf Akçayoğlu

CEO, İGA Airports Construction

Yusuf Akçayoğlu graduated from the Civil Engineering Faculty at Istanbul Technical University in 1992. His academic background also includes undergraduate studies in Physics at Ankara University's Science Faculty. He pursued his graduate studies in the USA between 2001 and 2004 and holds an MBA from California State University. Akçayoğlu managed and led many development projects. Some of the noteworthy projects that he oversaw include: New Doha International Airport, Muscat International Airport, Midfield Terminal Building at Abu Dhabi International Airport and King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh. He has also completed various development and infrastructure projects in the Middle East and Russia. Since the start of the İstanbul New Airport Project, Akcayoğlu has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of İGA Airports Construction. The new airport is expected to become the world's biggest aviation hub with six runways carrying 200 million passengers to over 350 destinations on nearly 100 airlines.
