Manuela López Menéndez

Manuela López Menéndez holds a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Argentina and later specialized in Regional Urban Studies and City Planning at MIT, USA. With more than 18 years of experience in the public sector she has advised several governmental agencies - both on a national and provincial scale - in industry and economic matters. Under the Public Transportation Plan of the city of Buenos Aires, she was responsible for the design and execution of the bus rapid transit system and the first network of Regional Express Lines. Appointed by the President of Argentina as head of the Secretary of Public Works in the recently created Ministry of Transport of Argentina, she is responsible for the coordination of international financing of transport infrastructure projects and for the definition on policies regarding transport subsidies.
